Ephesians Study - Week 8
In Week 8 of our Ephesians Study, Pastor David walks through Ephesians 5:22–6:9 and shows how being filled with the Spirit and submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ (5:18–21) reshapes our closest relationships. Looking at the first-century household, he explains how Paul addressed wives, children, and servants first, raising their standing, and called husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her. He reminds us that Christian marriages should be "duets, not duels," that fathers are called not to provoke their children but to bring them up in the Lord, and that at work we serve with a sincere heart as unto the Lord. Honest and personal, this teaching points us back to God's grace and the Spirit's power to live out our faith at home first.
